Visvesvaraya College of Engineering and Technology (VCET) was established in 2007 in Telangana which is known as one of the leading states for technical education. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and the Government of Telangana and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
The college offers four undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses in the fields of technology, engineering and management. The faculty in the college are well regarded for research and imparting technical education.
Spread across 10 acres of land, VCET is located at M P Patelguda (V), Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy District at the outer ring road. It is on the Nagarjuna Sagar Highway, which is in the close vicinity of the capital city of Hyderabad. VCET has a total plinth area of 19,000 sq m with laboratories and spacious lecture halls. These labs are fully equipped with the latest machinery and the lecture halls have overhead projectors and LCD screens which facilitate discussions, interactive and student-centric learning.
Apart from its administrative block that is housed in a built-up area of 1560 sq m, the institution also offers a digital library, separate common rooms for boys and girls, cafeteria and well-furnished hostels for both boys and girls.
Not only does the institute offer campus placements but also trains the students in personality development, communication skills, weekly aptitude tests, technical training and so on in order to attract the best companies from the corporate world. At VCET, the Training and Placement Cell performs as an interface between the industries and qualified students. The institute is further known for its notable alumni who have triumphed in multiple fields all across the world.
